Kelley Blue Book has just published its annual report of vehicle makes and models that have the highest predicted future resale values. Generally, it is expected that those vehicles with the best reliability histories will also be those that have the highest resale values. However, this is not always the case. Some models, such as Volkswagen and BMW are on the list, even though these brands don't enjoy high reliability ratings. Sometimes, brand popularity can overcome (or overlook) reliability issues.

Volkswagen Passat Wagon (Wagon)
Toyota Tacoma (Pick-up)
Acura MDX (Sport Utility)

Toyota Prius (Hybrid)
